WOW! Where do we even begin?
Today’s Open Farm Sunday absolutely blew us away. We hoped for a good turnout, but the number of people who came through our gates today far exceeded anything we imagined 🫶🏼
Seeing families explore the farm, children meeting animals with wide-eyed excitement, and people taking a genuine interest in where their food comes from reminded us exactly why days like this matter.
The generosity shown today was humbling. Every donation, every purchase and every act of support will help us continue investing in the farm and creating an even better place for future generations to enjoy, learn from and connect with. The impact of your support will be felt long after today. So from the bottom of our hearts thank you to every single one of you 🥲
Farming can often be a world hidden behind hedges and gates, but today those gates were opened and something truly special happened. Connections were made, stories were shared, and we were reminded how fortunate we are to be part of such a wonderful community. Their support and commitment to connecting people with farming makes days like today possible. Thanks to their vision, farms across the country can open their gates and share what we do, and we were proud to be part of such an amazing event.♥️
We’d also like to extend our sincere thanks again to the fantastic local businesses who generously donated items, support and resources to help make the day such a success. Community spirit was everywhere we looked.
To our neighbours surrounding the farm – thank you for your patience, understanding and support, especially when our parking plans were tested by what felt like the entire county deciding to visit at once! We are so lucky to have your support and sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
And finally, we want to thank our incredible farm members and volunteers. The hours of planning, preparation and hard work behind the scenes are impossible to measure. From the first arrival this morning to the final tidy-up tonight, you gave your time, energy and passion so generously. You welcomed visitors with smiles, answered countless questions, guided people around the farm and helped create memories that families will cherish for years to come.
Tonight, we are exhausted. The cake tins are empty, the wellies are muddy, and we may not see a parked car again for a few days without flinching. But we are also incredibly proud, deeply grateful and truly inspired.
